Fan Prover was in electrically closed position prior to venter operation.

 

What this means – The natural draft in the flue is strong enough to keep the fan prover closed when the venter in not running. This is common with Inline Draft Inducers and the SideShot.

 

Your Fan Prover may also be stuck closed.

 

Solution – Turn the power off to the UC1. Move dipswitch #9 to the up or ‘ON’ position and reinitiate power. This will deactivate the Pre-Cycle Prover Status Check but keep the prover in the safety circuit.

 

Remove Fan Prover sensing tube and wires and check for continuity across contacts. If there is no continuity, replace wires and sensing tube and try system again. If there is continuity, replace Fan Prover.
